BANGKOK (Manager Daily) – A group of Thai designers have joined the International Furniture Fair in Germany, where some 1,300 furniture firms from 50 countries, and major importers of furniture from around the globe are expected to meet.
Managing Director of Stone & Steel Co., Preutthipong Kijkanjanas, said his company had targeted a 30-million-baht (US$769, 2000) sale.
Mr. Preutthipong, who heads a group of Thai designers to Germany, said the International Furniture Fair, scheduled in Cologne on January 17-23, would focus on four points: furniture modification to serve people’s needs; simple furniture with quality design; furniture with creative emotion; and furniture of timeless value.
Stone & Steel, which is a member of the New Asian group, has sent two categories of work: I-KON, legless chairs, and SAO ‘timber table’, to join the event, Mr. Preutthipong said.
Other members of the group include Yothakarn Co., Plain Net Co., Live Shop Co., and Angus Co.
